About

I work mainly on Hellenistic poetry, literature and history, with particular interest to the encomiastic poetry and to the epigrammatic genre; I have also written on the reception of Greek lyric poetry, and on the biographical re-interpretation of lyric poets in epigrams.
My current research project is a monograph collecting and discussing -from the literary and historical points of view- all the epitaphs in verses for Hellenistic soldiers.

I am teaching courses in Greek language (advanced) and Classical Philology (with special focus on literary papyrology), and provide tutorial lessons on various Greek authors for the course of Greek Literature (Prof. Mario Cantilena).
